The R25 that funds the stipends and education expenses for the RRTP residents has been renewed! Beginning July 1, 2011, this is a five year renewable grant from the NIMH that is specifically aimed at supporting the RRTP, allowing for protected time for research as well as funds for research related educational experiences. The R25 will also support a California-wide research resident retreat every two years, in the spirit of increasing contact and community between psychiatry residents interested in pursuing research careers throughout California.
